A practical apprenticeship supporting the manufacturing process of anilox rolls and sleeves. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team where you will work across several departments including laser engraving, plasma coating, polishing, lapping and grinding.

You will rotate across various sections of the manufacturing process throughout your apprenticeship with us learning and developing key engineering skills. 

Apprentices will gain a range of skills alongside learning to operate specific machinery under the guidance of a departmental mentor.

Training will be specific to the duties of the department. These may include: 

  • Assisting with routine equipment checks
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to a high standard
  • Ensuring you are working at all times to precise tolerances with accuracy
  • Being able to use calibrated measuring equipment to check coatings 
  • Undertaking general and visual inspection of the product before and after processing
  • Keeping records of engineering progress 
  • Adhering to process and quality standards
  • Following site health, safety and environmental procedures

Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician.

Weekly attendance at Riverside College, Widnes. 

We always hope to employ our apprentices full-time following the completion of their apprenticeship, this could lead to further opportunities to take on progression roles throughout the business.
