Description
The successful Management Accountant will:
- Prepare and analyse stock reports to identify variances and trends.
- Monitor stock levels and provide accurate valuations for financial reporting.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to streamline stock management processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in stock management.
- Provide support during audits and ensure accurate documentation of stock data.
- Deliver regular updates and insights to senior management on stock performance.
- Be responsible for the day to day management of an Assistant Management Accountant.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement working closely with a Finance Director to improve efficiencies within the wider business.
Profile
The successful Management Accountant should have:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ideally experience in stock accounting.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
