Our client is an SME wholesale company based in Newton-Le-Willows, who are looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a full time, permanent basis. This role reports to the Finance manager and comes with future progression for someone ambitious wanting to progress with an SME.

The role:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and cost analysis
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and pre-payments
- Maintenance and control of the fixed assets register.
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Systems interface / complex account reconciliation
- Overseeing the bank reconciliations and accounts payable
- Liaising with the external auditors throughout the audit process
- Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties
Skills:
- Strong MS Excel skills would be desirable
