We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice to join our Company Secretariat team, supporting the Phoenix UK group of businesses while working towards qualification as a solicitor.This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, organised, and eager to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of legal and compliance matters in a fast-paced corporate setting.About the RoleReporting to the Company Secretary, you'll work closely with both the Company Secretary and Legal Counsel, providing legal and business support across the organisation. You'll gain valuable exposure to commercial law, governance, compliance, litigation support, and business projects while developing the practical skills needed for a successful legal career.What You'll Be DoingSupporting the Company Secretary and Legal Counsel in delivering legal services to the businessReviewing commercial contracts, agreements, and terms & conditionsCarrying out legal research and preparing first drafts of legal adviceSupporting legal aspects of tenders and business projectsAssisting with the management of disputes and litigationLiaising with external legal advisers and coordinating specialist adviceSupporting board administration and governance activitiesMonitoring legal and regulatory developments and helping communicate impacts across the businessPromoting legal awareness throughout the organisationWhat We're Looking ForEssential:A 2:1 Law Degree or above covering foundational legal subjects:Contract LawTort LawPublic LawCriminal LawTrustsLand LawStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Adobe PDFExcellent organisational skillsA proactive and personable approachStrong problem-solving abilityHigh attention to detailDesirable:Previous experience within a legal or professional services environmentStrong telephone mannerAbility to write confidently in professional business EnglishGood note-taking skillsWhy Join Us?This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your legal career within a supportive and collaborative in-house legal team.
