Description This role is ideal for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience beyond a single market or organisation and make their first move into a global shared service or centre‑of‑expertise environment. As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of statutory reporting for one or more European legal entities, covering markets such as Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. You will be a key contributor to month‑end close, statutory audits, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes. You'll work closely with local markets, auditors, group finance teams and internal stakeholders, helping to resolve issues, improve processes and ensure robust financial control. This is a hands‑on, visible role that offers exposure to complex accounting topics and the opportunity to mentor junior team members. Key elements of the role include: Ownership of statutory month‑end close, balance sheet integrity and intercompany accounting
Leading audit processes and managing relationships with internal and external auditors
Delivering accurate and timely forecasts and budgets, including balance sheet and cashflow planning
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and controls
Providing guidance and coaching to accounts assistants within the team Profile You'll be someone who enjoys accountability, thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable working across multiple countries and stakeholders. Key requirements include: Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent preferred)
Around 5 years' relevant experience within a multinational organisation or audit environment
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
Experience leading or significantly contributing to statutory audits
Ability to manage competing deadlines with attention to detail
ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
