ESG Paralegal
We are currently looking to recruit a ESG Paralegal to work at our Liverpool Headquarters on a full time, permanent contract.
What will you do?
As an ESG Paralegal, you will support the Legal and Regulatory teams in ensuring that Vitaflo meets all compliance, corporate governance, reporting and disclosure requirements and related KPI's for all ESG areas, including: (i) business integrity and anti-bribery, (ii) sustainability and environment (e.g. greenhouse gas emissions, CSDDD, CSR), (iii) employee-related obligations (e.g. gender pay gap reporting, DE&I, whistleblowing protections) (iv) supply chain (e.g. modern slavery, EUDR/PPWR, responsible sourcing, supplier screening) and other ESG-related legal obligations.
You will assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks that ensure Vitaflo meets its statutory and corporate responsibilities. ESG responsibilities intersect with directors statutory duties and broader compliance requirements so you will work closely with the Head of Legal to ensure these duties are reflected in governance and day-to-day operations. In particular, you will be:
- Responsible for horizon scanning for ESG changes which will impact Vitaflo, so that the business can proactively plan.
- The "go to" ESG reporting person within the Vitaflo organisation, ensuring that Vitaflo is closely aligned with the rest of the Nestle Group.
- Working with Vitaflo's Sustainability Manager in developing Vitaflo's medium and long term sustainability strategy.
- Responsible for running meetings of the Vitaflo Compliance Committee and ensuring it is updated with all ESG requirements and Vitaflo's obligations, and that the leadership and compliance teams have visibility of them.
- This role requires a technically strong individual who has previous experience of ESG compliance.
