Network Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our IT team, responsible for maintaining and improving a secure, reliable, and high-performing network infrastructure.
The Role
As a Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of the organisation's network environment. You'll ensure connectivity across the business is robust, secure, and scalable, supporting both on-premise and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
- Configure and manage network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Ensure network security and compliance with best practices
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and projects
- Work closely with internal teams and third-party providers
- Maintain documentation and network diagrams
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Experience supporting both on-prem and cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g. AWS or Azure)
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
- Experience with SD-WAN or network automation tools
- Exposure to security tools and practices
