HGV Mechanic

Job Description

Aureol Global Connections is seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic to join our team, responsible for servicing and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure their reliability and safety on the road. This role requires hands-on expertise and a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance, ensuring that all HGVs are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose issues with HGV components and systems.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Keep detailed records of services and repairs performed.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures strictly during repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry standards and vehicle technologies.

Requirements

  • Relevant certifications or apprenticeship qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics.
  • Experience working as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
  • Competence in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in HGVs.
  • Proficient use of diagnostic tools and equipment for heavy vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and professional attitude.
  • Valid driving license suitable for HGV work and any industry-specific certifications.
