Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Civil & Structural Designer. Reporting to the Directors, the purpose of the role is to support the delivery of engineering design projects across a range of industrial sectors. This role will play a key part in producing high-quality 2D and 3D design outputs, working closely with engineers and project teams.
Key Duties:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D civil and structural designs for industrial projects.
- Develop models and drawings using Tekla and/or Revit, Advanced Steel or equivalent.
- Support engineers in delivering design solutions from concept through to construction.
- Prepare GA drawings, detailed design drawings and fabrication details.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes and client specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support junior designers where required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in civil or structural design.
- Minimum qualification: HNC or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Strong capability in both 2D and 3D design.
- Experience using Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Background in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical or food and beverage.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, standards and detailing practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
