Key Responsibilities

The KS2 Teacher will:

  • Encourage pupil engagement in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment programs

  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure consistent standards and a cohesive teaching approach

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and progress, and provide feedback to parents and leadership

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practice

  • Support school initiatives, including literacy, numeracy, digital learning, and wellbeing programs

  • Model high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and conduct in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking a KS2 Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching KS2 pupils, ideally across Years 3–6

  • Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to inspiring pupils

  • Can differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs, including SEND and EAL

  • Uses effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive classroom culture

  • Is committed to fostering a love of learning and developing life-long skills

  • Works well collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community

  • Is adaptable, resilient, and ready to start ASAP

Desirable experience:

  • Leading subjects or initiatives across KS2

  • Experience with digital learning platforms

  • Running extracurricular clubs or enrichment activities

  • Knowledge of current national curriculum requirements and assessment frameworks
