Creative and Inspirational Art Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art Teacher to join our vibrant educational community in Liverpool. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring art lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them to refine their skills and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages experimentation and a love for the arts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and community art projects, to enrich the students’ educational experience.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and the wider school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching art at secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity and artistic potential.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
