Requirements:
- We require 5+ years of experience in a lead or senior QA role.
- We require hands-on expertise in test automation tools, preferably Ranorex with C#.
- We require a solid understanding of OOP concepts and experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
- We require practical experience implementing BDD practices using SpecFlow/Gherkin.
- We require strong manual testing skills across functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- We require regular, proficient use of Jira for defect management and Git for version control.
- We strongly prefer prior experience working on investment systems or wealth management systems.
- We are looking for someone who can operate with minimal supervision, show strong ownership, and work effectively in a hybrid QA role.
- We expect the ability to quickly understand application flows, identify testing risks, and prioritize execution independently.
Responsibilities:
- We will rely on you to lead automation testing efforts across multiple projects.
- We expect you to flex between high-level test automation and deep-dive manual testing as delivery needs change.
- We need you to independently master application flows and understand system behavior quickly.
- We expect you to identify testing risks, guide execution priorities, and drive quality throughout the lifecycle.
- We want you to perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing when required.
- We need you to build, maintain, and improve automation frameworks.
- We expect you to apply BDD practices in test design and execution.
- We rely on you to manage defects in Jira and use Git for version control.
- We will provide a 15-day to 1-month onboarding period for domain and environment upskilling.

We are a personalised investment management and wealth management company hiring an Automation Test Lead on a contract basis. This is a hybrid role based in Glasgow or Liverpool, with one day per week in the office plus any additional in-person meetings as needed. We offer a short onboarding period of 15 days to 1 month to help with domain and environment upskilling. We are looking for a proactive, independent tester who can be deployed across projects and adapt quickly between automation and manual testing to support our delivery needs.
