Weighbridge Operative
Location: Widnes, WA8 area
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 12:00 18:00
- Tuesday & Thursday: 12:00 20:00
- Saturdays (1 in 4): 07:00 13:00
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Weighbridge Operative to join our client , at their Widnes site. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating the weighbridge system (AMCS) full training provided
- Accurately recording vehicle details and weights
- Communicating with yard operations via two-way radio
- Ensuring all waste transfer documentation is compliant and correctly processed
- Checking waste carrier licences using the national register
- Supporting compliance processes for out-of-specification materials
- Assisting with contaminated load reporting
- Coordinating with the transport team to ensure correct dispatch and documentation
- Maintaining accurate document storage and archiving
- Producing written reports and maintaining clear, detailed records
Requirements
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- IT literate, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Previous weighbridge or waste industry experience is beneficial but not essential
