Jenkinsons is one of the largest independent office furniture dealers, with a diverse client base in both public and private sectors.
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Waste Control & General Maintenance Operative to join our warehouse team in Knowsley.
The role involves maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, managing recyclable waste streams and assisting with general maintenance duties across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Control and management of warehouse waste materials, including cardboard & plastics.
- Daily cleaning of warehouse aisles, loading bay areas & warehouse yard.
- Management of recycled skips, including loading and organising weekly collections/exchanges.
- Supporting sustainable recycling processes and waste segregation.
- Assisting warehouse colleagues with Goods Receipt duties when required
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks around the warehouse and office areas
- Supporting minor interior maintenance work such as painting or basic joinery when applicable.
Skills & experience
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience in warehouse cleaning or waste management preferred.
- Basic maintenance, painting or joinery skills would be advantageous.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist across departments
- Ability to maintain a safe & tidy working environment.
