A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a friendly, supportive and close-knit veterinary team in South Liverpool.
This well-established small animal veterinary practice is looking for an enthusiastic RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care. The successful candidate will become part of a welcoming team consisting of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 RVNs, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN), and a dedicated Receptionist, all committed to providing the highest standards of veterinary care.

The Role – Registered Veterinary Nurse
This is a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position, working 40 hours per week across 5 days.
The rota includes:
- Either 1 in 4 Saturdays or 1 in 8 full weekends, with time back in lieu
- 1 bank holiday per year
- Up to 2 weeks of on-call cover annually
As a Veterinary Nurse, the successful candidate will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse-led appointments and will support Veterinary Surgeons during procedures as required. They will play a key role in ensuring exceptional care is consistently delivered to clients, patients and colleagues while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
The Registered Veterinary Nurse will typically:
- Deliver exceptional patient care through nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
- Support consultations, surgeries and veterinary procedures
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and recovery
- Manage admissions and discharges effectively
- Deliver outstanding client care and communication
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory and operational standards
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive veterinary team
