Job Description
Salary: £47,000 - 87,000 per year
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience in an Insight role
- Experience analysing and synthesising large data sets (e.g., Kantar Worldpanel, YouGov BrandIndex, Medallia CX)
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (advanced Excel preferred)
- Experience using DisplayR or Q Market Research for data processing and analysis
- Confident communication style and ability to present insights clearly to all levels
- Genuine passion for retail, customers, and continuous learning
Responsibilities:
- Deliver insightful analysis to deepen our understanding of Matalans customers and the retail market
- Create compelling reports, dashboards, and visual stories that help leaders make data-driven decisions
- Work with data from a variety of sources (e.g., Worldpanel, Medallia, YouGov BrandIndex, Mintel, GlobalData)
- Support and lead customer research projects from survey design and scripting through to analysis and presentation
- Develop qualitative research skills, including recruitment, moderation, and insight visualisation
- Manage incoming insight requests and keep stakeholders informed and aligned
- Continuously build analytical and storytelling skills to influence business strategy
