Full time, Fixed term contract
£12.71 rising to £13.98 after 3 months
37.5 hours per week

Based at our brand-new PW Campus in Speke, Liverpool, we are looking for detail-oriented Stock Controllers to manage stock accuracy, streamline warehouse operations, and ensure our inventory systems mirror reality. In this role, you won’t just count stock - you will investigate discrepancies, optimise stock rotation, and collaborate across teams to prevent shortages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine cycle counts of inventory to maintain stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure all stock variances are identified, analysed, and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Manage and monitor BBE dates, ensuring correct stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Monitor stock movements, including goods received, transfers, and stock issues.
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to ensure stock availability and avoid shortages.
  • Support stock audits and assist with inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate root causes of stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure stock handling follows company procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles including cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
  • Experience managing BBE/expiry-controlled stock.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Experience using ERP/WMS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience within manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, or FMCG environments.
  • Understanding of FIFO/FEFO stock management practices.
