Urgent Care Practitioner - Telephone Triage & Urgent Care Services

Locations: Liverpool, Warrington, Chester & Southport Job Type: Locum / Flexible Sessions Setting: Telephone Triage, OOH & Urgent Care Services

Rates: £35 to £40 per hour (Ltd/ Sole trader)

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting experienced Urgent Care Practitioners to support urgent and unscheduled care services across a range of clinical settings.

This role is ideal for clinicians who are confident managing urgent patient presentations, conducting remote assessments, and working within high-pressure clinical environments.

Services may involve:

-Telephone triage

-Remote clinical assessment

-Same Day Access services

-Out of Hours support

-Community urgent care services

-Escalation and referral support

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct remote and telephone clinical assessments

-Provide safe clinical advice and patient management

-Triage urgent patient presentations appropriately

-Escalate high-risk patients where required

-Maintain accurate clinical documentation

-Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

-Support service demand and patient flow management

Requirements

• Current NMC or HCPC Registration
• Previous urgent care or triage experience
• Excellent clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently within fast-paced services
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities
• EMIS experience desirable

We are particularly interested in clinicians with experience working within NHS urgent care, OOH, UTC or telephone triage environments
