Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a wonderful primary school in Southport. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage pupils in Upper Key Stage 2, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The role is to start in September and will be on a full time basis long term.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
- Prepare pupils for transition to Year 6 and SATs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 desirable)
- Strong classroom management skills
- High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
