A growing Accountancy Practice is looking to appoint a Client Manager into their St Helens office.
This is an excellent opportunity where you'll work closely with a broad portfolio of SME clients, managing relationships while producing high-quality accounts and tax work, with the opportunity to mentor junior staff and genuinely add value to clients.

Client Manager Responisbilities:
- Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Produce corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior leadership
- Prepare deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations
- Complete VAT returns and support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
- Prepare periodic management accounts and management information reporting
- Ensure statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are submitted within Companies House and HMRC deadlines
- Act as a key point of contact for client queries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
- Manage your own portfolio of clients with oversight from senior leadership
- Review work prepared by junior staff and support with training and development where required
Client Manager Attributes:
- ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified By Experience (QBE)
- Minimum 5 years' experience within accountancy practice (or 8+ years for QBE applicants)
- Able to prepare a high-quality final set of accounts for Partner review
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and business tax matters
- Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
