This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)-funded project focused on long-duration thermal energy storage technologies. The project brings together leading expertise from University of Edinburgh, University College London, Heriot-Watt University, and a range of industrial partners, offering a rich and collaborative research environment.
We are seeking a full-time researcher to lead and deliver the Liverpool strand of the project. The role will involve the design, construction, and experimental testing of long-duration thermochemical heat storage systems. You will work closely within an integrated, multidisciplinary team of academics and researchers, and contribute to the supervision of PhD students based at Liverpool.
You will bring strong expertise and a proven track record in thermochemical heat storage technologies. You will demonstrate the ability to plan, organise, and deliver complex research programmes effectively, ensuring timely and successful outcomes. Experience in managing workloads, including supervising and delegating tasks, is essential.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
