Management Accountant Location: LiverpoolSalary: £60,000 - £65,000 + benefitsContract: 12-month Fixed Term ContractHybrid Working: 3 days in the office 2 working from home Company:My client is seeking a talented qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team, supporting various operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global business in a varied and commercially focused role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders. The RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business performance and decision-making across the region. Key responsibilities will include: * Supporting the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments and provisions * Producing management accounts and financial reporting for UK and European entities * Completing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations* Managing VAT and Intrastat returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy * Supporting the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors * Maintaining strong financial controls in line with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards * Providing cash and bank reconciliations and supporting wider treasury activities * Contributing to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives * Delivering ad-hoc support to the wider European finance team About YouWe are looking for a technically strong and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will ideally have: * A professional accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) * At least 4 years' accounting experience, ideally within industry or manufacturing * Experience working in a shared service environment
