Assay Services Administrator
ALS are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Assay Services Administrator to join our Assay Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within a fast-paced laboratory and client services environment. Working closely with the Assay Services Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating assay reporting services, managing client communications, and ensuring the smooth delivery of assay operations from start to finish.
This role would suit someone who enjoys administration, thrives on accuracy, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. Full training will be provided.

The Day to Day
-
Managing assigned assay jobs from start to completion
-
Confirming contract specifications and maintaining accurate records
-
Using LIMS and EXACT systems to update data, generate reports, invoices, pricing information, and work-in-progress updates

Liaising professionally with clients regarding sample receipts, turnaround times, and reporting updates

Performing quality checks on reports, certificates, and documentation to ensure accuracy

Coordinating with laboratory staff, overseas offices, and refineries to support efficient service delivery

Managing key client accounts and maintaining strong client relationships

Ensuring all assay instructions and documentation are processed promptly and in line with company procedures

Supporting weekly courier checks and ensuring correct certification and invoicing documentation is dispatched

Maintaining accurate filing, reporting, and record storage in accordance with quality systems
The Essentials

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Confident using computer systems and databases

Literate and numerate with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external clients

Professional and customer-focused approach

Experience in administration or client services is advantageous, but not essential

Willingness to learn new systems and processes — full training will be provided
