Role: Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocate. Location: Merseyside Hours: 35 hours per week ( Monday - Friday 9-5) Pay: £14 -£18 pounds an hour (dependent on pay status) Contract: Temp on going A specialist domestic abuse service in Merseyside is seeking an experienced Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocate (IDSVA) to support high-risk survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Key Responsibilities: Provide trauma-informed advocacy and support to survivors
Complete risk assessments and safety plans using MeRIT
Support clients through criminal and civil court processes
Represent clients at MARAC meetings
Work closely with Police, Housing, Social Care, Health, and other partner agencies
Maintain accurate case records and safeguarding standardsEssential Requirements: Domestic and Sexual Abuse Training
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a domestic/sexual abuse support role
Experience in advocacy, risk assessment, and safety planning
Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant legislation
Excellent communication and case management skills
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
