Advanced
Duties will include:
- Setting and operating CNC mills and turning machines
- Learning and understanding how to set parameters on CNC mills and turning machines
- Learning CNC machining principles and machine operation
- Working safely in accordance with health and safety legislation
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Conducting routine machine maintenance and safety checks
- Measuring and inspecting components to quality standards
- Maintain high level of housekeeping at all times within workshop
The successful candidate will spend 2 days per week at college, training towards a Level 3 Machining Technician qualification. The rest of the week will be spent in the workplace, learning on the job from an experienced mentor.
Will become a qualified machining technician upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
