Apprenticeship summary
The Library Service are looking to recruit an Apprentice Library Assistant who is passionate about this service, whilst also being committed and motivated to complete the programme. The main base of this role would be located in Formby Library, and also supporting other libraries across the borough.

Intermediate
MAIN DUTIES:
- Maintain a high-quality, efficient, courteous and helpful standard of library service for library users
- Undertake all operations necessary for the continued effectiveness and safe delivery of the library service
- Undertake admin and daily/weekly financial routines, and maintain all records to comply with data protection and designated requirements
- Support stock promotion and procedures within the library service
- Contribute to and participate in appropriate library service initiatives in co-operation with library staff
- Level 2 Customer Services Practitioner qualification
- Training will be delivered at the workplace
- Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
- The Apprentice will receive on programme support from an Apprenticeship Officer and redeployment support during the last 2 months of their Apprenticeship contract
